the 2 billionth set

Yes. I counted to a billion. Twice. Even if Ravan beat me to it.

51. Do you like coffee?
In the mornings. I prefer chai anytime after that. Long-term habit, thanks to college.

52. How do you like your eggs?
Bhurjee-style. Again, college. Again, I’ve never quite managed to make it the way they did in college.

53. Do you believe in astrology?
Nope. Entertainment value at best.

54. Last person you talked to on the phone?
Slightly smart person working at the idiotic Student Accounting Office at Rutgers. *&$%^$@#$%!

55. Last person on your missed call list?
Shivangi, for some reason.

56. What was the last text message you received?
Warsha, saying that she exists. 20c spent on something that’s free for networks. America, I tell you.

58. Number of pillows?
Two. One’s all out of shape.

59. What are you wearing right now?
Blue (unwashed) jeans, Boston tee, brown sweater, socks, Sketchers, and a jacket hangs in the background.

60. Pick a lyric, any lyric:
Yeh Dilli hai mere yaaaar.. Bas ishq mohabbat pyaaaaaaaar..

the billionth set of random questions i answer for no reason at all

How do I put it: time for ‘Atyachaar‘ indeed :D

1. Ever been given an engagement ring?
No.

2. Longest relationship?
26 years with my mom and dad.
Heh.

3. Last gift you received?
A very special collage.

4. Ever dropped a cell phone?
Not so much recently, since I got the E51. I remember dropping a 3310 in the gutter once, long ago. Came completely to pieces too. Pick up, wipe, dry, put together.. and it worked perfectly.

5. When is the last time you worked out?
Today is Thursday, so that would be never.
Some form of exercise did happen in early December though.

Books. Movie DVDs. Comics. Games.

7. Last food you ate?
Right now, snacking on a mixture. Lunch was a Subway Sub.

8. First things you notice about the opposite sex?
Eyes. Unless it was Ms. Anderson, in which ‘it’ would meet me before she came around the corner.

9. One favorite song?
Way too many, current favourites include ‘Emosanal Attyachar‘ (fuller version, minus my favourite lines).

10. Where do you live?
Currently, NJ.

literarily mine

based off certain people doing every single tag on the planet, i had to get one. she’s lucky its a literary tag, because, as we all know, i don’t have the time to do such things.

please, no drum roll. its my pleasure to bore you and insult you… all at the same time.

fatty, susie, dick kirrin, darrell rivers: name an enid blyton character i haven’t read about. these were probably my stand-out favourites… from fatty being the absolute genius that i wish i could be, to darrell being the normal freakshow that i have always related to. susie and dick are thrown in to remind myself of two teams of detectives that i still dig.

sherlock holmes: this was probably the character/book that woke me up to the world outside enid blyton. i started with a single book bought during a UK trip, to owning multiple original facsimile editions of his stories. has always been the god of detective fiction as i have known it, and ‘the final problem’, remains to this day one of the most moving stories i have ever read. every single detail, every single method he uses seems so… perfect.

marvin the robot: 1 sentence sums it up. “The first ten million years were the worst, and the second ten million years, they were the worst too. The third ten million I didn’t enjoy at all. After that I went into a bit of a decline.
big surprise.

gandalf: its a lord of the rings thing. i have to admire the scope. i have to admire the character that comes back, and proceeds to kick serious butt. but most of all, i have to admire the character that can do anything on the planet, but spends time bursting fireworks.

its been a while

since i’ve been tagged.

or posted, for that matter…

… From here. I have to list one fact related to my life for every letter of my middle name. I also have to mention the following rules:
a) The rules must be mentioned in the beginning of the tag.
b) You must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.
c) At the end of your blog post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

now, i’m in a dilemma. i could use the name that comes the middle of my full name; but it is not my actual “middle” name. we weirdos don’t have the concept of surnames and middle names and end names and over-the-top names. we have names. period.
if i were to use a random name, i might as well use random letters. or, i could be snarky and have a superhero middle name, but that is painful.
and one person for every letter of my middle name ? now, that is scary. come to think of it, even finding six people who read my blog is scary.
pet names ? i have more than a few. and that is not including insults.

confusion, confusion.

i’ll do the more popular version of the tag, and choose a name from amongst my three; and use that. i won’t tag anyone… i will encourage people to steal it. the crime will have its own punishment.

i shall hence choose my own name, and be done with it.

Ssilly. from concepts of writing only in lower-case, to actually understanding the concepts of comic-book universes, its always been the silly things that fascinate me the most. i can act pretty silly at times too, ensuring that seriousness is not a crime i am accused of.
Aargumentative. given a chance, and an acceptable person, i’m willing to argue about everything under the sun.
Ttales. whether writing them, reading them, or watching them; i can’t live without ‘em.
Iirritating. i find a number of things so, especially when burdened with a cold. when i don’t find them, i get so. and thats not good for anyone around me.
Ssang-froid. i believe in maintaining it to extreme levels; and will go as far as to not react to anything. i will actually react slowly to things to ensure that what analysis i believe in (way too much) is done.
Hhandsomeness. one of the few things i’ve never associated with myself, and more interestingly, neither has anyone else ;)

there, it is done. do it if you dare, chicken.

you never run out of them..

especially when you’re too bored to work. and know a sweetheart called marie.

1. One of your scars, how did you get it?
On the back of my hand, acquired when I was 18. Getting it was a matter of climbing up to the higher cupboards, opening them up, and not realizing that the fan was mere centimeters away from the open door. When you don’t realize that, you generally tend to flail your hands in the air, as I did, and leave a testament chunk of flesh taken out.
Yep. Ouch.

2. What is on the walls in your room?
Paint, a varied assortment of posters, and a calendar. Nothing incriminating at all.

3. Do you snore, grind your teeth, or talk in your sleep?
Snore, possibly; occasionally. I do contortions in my sleep though.

4. What type of music do you listen to?
Could be anything or everything, depending on my mood. Rahman figures high, and random others occupy my fancy to the point of obsession.

5. Do you know what time you were born?
Nope. I barely knew I was born, is my guess.

6. What do you want more than anything right now?
A smoldering hug ? A copy of ‘Making Money’ ? A bungee-jump ?
Probably, just to get out and do something.

when one has too much work, but needs to fill space..

or.. when one is just bored of work, part III. as in parts I & II. from marie, again. i’ve run out now, sadly.

101. What does happiness/joy feel like physically?
A warmth, a tingly feeling that spreads outward. Depending on mood previous to it, add goosebumps.

103. How many movies have you gone to see this month?
2 – Spidey 3, Hot Fuzz.

104. If you could have 3 wishes but none of them could be for yourself, what would you wish for?
That everything works out the best way possible for my loved ones.
That people realize the inherent failing of harboring any kind of blind belief.
That people appreciate the small things more.

105. In what ways do you relax and de-stress when you are really tense?
Music always soothes me, and most of the time, the company of a friend. Books are the substitute; if friends are not around.. and frustration is simply solved by writing.

106. How much money would it take to get you to drive to school naked in the springtime and get out of the car?
Shouldn’t have given me that idea.
