when you see this at the age of 10, you never really lose that feeling of terror. every single time.

I feel drained. There’s the deadline. The extension to the deadline. The paper. The second paper. The paper you are writing in parallel to the other two. Other people’s papers. Other people’s papers that you are trying to beat to the punch. Old papers that you want to get a handle on, but seem like

Purple or orange? Orange or purple? She looked from one to the other. And back. Then back again. Someone moved in the far corner, and she whipped around to see what had happened. There was a movement in front of her which she felt, rather than sensed, and she reached out blindly. While turning back
the inevitable filler

If I had given it another 6 days, it would have been all of 2 posts over the last month. True writer’s block, I guess. In past times, I’ve been able to resort to movie reviews, memes, random thoughts on tech and… you know, those items that apparently interest almost no-one but me. To fill

..at least for another year. I’ve paid for it. I’m going to pay for it. Ah well. I think I should get down to one of those challenges where you post every single day for a month or something. One of these days, I might. Back to remaining deathly silent here.. complaining that I can’t
the twitter effect

Barely three posts in the last month. Mandatory Twitter-joining post has happened in the meanwhile. 218 tweets in 10 days have happened since. Nothing on this blog. Even now, I’m struggling with what to write right now. Worth thinking about when I’m about to renew my hosting plan. p.s. I’ve “paused” my twitter account.

Stuff that struck me while reading about Sachin Tendulkar’s nearly unbelievable* feat, most of which will be repeated everywhere I look over the next few days/weeks: On this day 21 years ago He completed a 664-run partnership with Kambli. Twenty-f*ckin-one. His 200 contained 25 boundaries (the most by a single batsman in an ODI till
my problem with hindi movies today

There have been any number of reviews about the latest from the Bollywood stable (My Name is Khan) – ranging from vitriolic to sarcastic/mocking to adulatory. I could write reams, spew abuse galore, and point out in how many different ways the movie gets it wrong… but I won’t. That’s too easy. Plus, people have already done a pretty good

If you did get scared on seeing that, I wish you had seen the hindi version of JP. It was an out and out comedy. The hindi translation for dinosaur was – ‘badi chipkali’… ‘waaah.. woh dekho badi chipkali…’ and things like that!
